ARTHRITIS HELP
What can you do to relieve the pain of degenerative
arthritis if pain-killers are so bad for you? Glucosamine sulfate
(or glucosamine hydrochloride) is a micronutrient that stimulates
the repair of cartilage (that's what breaks down first in arthritic
conditions). All the scientific studies on glucosamine used doses
of at least 1500 mg per day for 6-8 weeks. Don't be fooled by products
on the market that brag about having glucosamine in them. When you
read the fine print, you may see amounts in the 20-100mg range per
tablet. That's not enough to get you the results you want!
The best program is to take one 500 mg tablet
three times per day with meals for 6-8 weeks. We have glucosamine
sulfate available at our office for $15 for 60 tablets. It's more
expensive than advil, but at least it's not tearing down your cartilage,
causing gastrointestinal bleeding or poisoning your liver and kidneys!
