About the Grostic (NUCCA) Technique
Many of you have experienced the adjustment in which you lie on your side
while I adjust the top-most vertebra of your neck - the Atlas Vertebra. This
adjustment is highly specialized within the field of chiropractic - only
about 300 chiropractors in the world are trained in the technique. I intensively
studied this one adjustment for 9 months following my doctorate training.
The technique, Grostic, is named for the man who developed it over 50 years
ago.
The term NUCCA is also used to describe this technique. NUCCA stands for
National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association.
The single purpose of the Grostic technique is to gently and efficiently
remove subluxations of the Atlas Vertebra, which is the vertebra that is
most likely to cause nerve interference at the level of the brain stem.
The greatest miracles that I have seen in my office have come from adjusting
the Atlas using the Grostic technique. It is so gentle that even those who
are at first apprehensive about receiving an adjustment are pleasantly surprised.
Atlas Subluxations may cause:
- pain, tingling, numbness, or weakness on primarily one side of the body
- persistent headaches and migraines
- ear pressure and/or recurrent ear infections
- neck pain and stiffness
- fatigue, restlessness, lack of concentration and/or depression
If anyone you know is suffering from these symptoms, it is imperative that
they get their upper necks adjusted by a specialist in the atlas area as
soon as possible. Please give tell them about the free
exam or send them to the site. It is so vital to their quality of life!
